Adrian Kingwell is a composer, music educator and musical director based in Fremantle, Western Australia.  He has worked with the likes of  Eddie Perfect, Lior, Paul Mac, Casey Bennetto, Guy Gross, Tilman Robinson and Iain Grandage. As a composer of contemporary classical music, stage, dance, film music, and musical theatre, Adrian's musical comprehension and compositional style is wide-ranging. This has allowed him to have original works and arrangements performed by schools and ensembles around the country.

Composition also plays a critical part in Adrian's role as an educator; he creates modules of work that allow students to analyse, play and create their own works as a way of learning and applying musical concepts. Adrian has completed a Bachelor of Music Education at the University of Western Australia and has recently completed a Masters of Music (Composition) at the Sydney Conservatorium, under James Humberstone. Formerly he was the Coordinator of Contemporary Music at Cranbrook School, Sydney and lectured at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Popular Music Studies, and Composition. Prior to this, he was Composer-in-Residence at MLC, Burwood. Currently he is developing Composition and Popular Music pathways at Iona Presentation College, Mosman Park.

In 2019, Adrian released his E.P. FRIENDS. In 2018, Adrian’s dramatic song-cycle FINDR was premiered at the Eternity Playhouse (co-produced by JackRabbit Theatre and Darlinghurst Theatre Company). In July his saxophone piece, rockwall, was premiered at the 2018 Sax Radio Music Festival in Taiwan, by Sydney-based saxophonist, Peter Leung. In 2017 Adrian self-released his debut solo E.P. titled babylon.
