AMD 2014

Australian Music Day (AMD) is an annual event at MLC School Sydney, which gives young composers from around NSW the opportunity to compose to a model piece and have their music work-shopped by professionals. Every year AMD focuses on the study of Australian contemporary classical composition as the model for HSC composition.

In 2014 we also had a secondary stream for HSC Music 1 (Contemporary Music) students. Both film-composer Guy Gross and singer-songwriter Lior presented their music and students reponded to tasks that were set out for them. Below are the tasks that were devised as well as a MIDI rendering that highlights the final product of Task 3.

If you would like to use any of these materials please contact me.

Task 1 - Based upon a talk by Guy Gross and his music
